Breaking News…..

The GFD will no longer be enforcing true pairs for our upcoming competitions. Whilst we still encourage diving in pairs for safety it is no longer compulsory, however we will still like to pair up newer inexperienced divers with more senior (in experience) divers to help them learn the ropes quicker and to keep an eye on them.

We will be updating our offical competition rules and the website shortly, this one is more of a heads up.

On the weekend of the 25-26th of November we have the first round of the Surf Coast Cup which is a pole spear competition, so if anyone was interested in the event but put off by enforced pairs you can relax and come for a fun exciting event. Round 2, boat comp, will be held on the 16-17th of December and the final comp which is a shore dive will be help on the weekend of April 14th-15th.

There are also two round of the underwater photography challenge which will be held on 24th-25th of March and 19th-20th of May. If you missed out on the first comp don’t fear, we are using the best 2 scores out of 3.
